The grammage (basis weight) states the weight per square metre. The sheet weight is grammage × sheet area, and for a stack it is multiplied by the number of sheets. Handy for postage: a standard letter weighs up to 20 g, a compact letter up to 50 g. The calculator supports DIN formats A6–A2 and custom dimensions.
