The storage a video needs follows from bitrate × duration / 8. The bitrate (in Mbit/s) times the recording duration gives the data volume, divided by 8 to convert from bits to bytes. Reference values: 1080p ≈ 8–12 Mbit/s, 4K ≈ 35–60 Mbit/s. Ideal for sizing memory cards and hard drives.
